2019 Events and Retreats

This calendar is for bookings that are open to the public. We hope you’ll join us.

Whether you are an organization, business, state agency, yoga studio, school, or family looking for a unique wedding or reunion spot, you can book your own event or retreat with us.

Kebab Night! Farm to Table Dinner

Dates: July 19, August 16
Time: 6:00-9:00 pm
Cost: $30 all inclusive

Join us for an annual tradition: a beautiful, abundant, and delicious feast of the field – with Middle Eastern flavors, Vermont-grown organic food, and live music outdoors in a beautiful mountain setting. We will be grilling our own spiced lamb kebabs over a wood fire. MORE

Family Adventure Overnight

Dates:  Aug 6-7
Time: Check in 4:00 PM, Check Out 11:00 AM                                                                                                                     

Adventure Overnight is a one-of-a-kind experience for families and friends to fully explore the farm and stay in residence overnight. Have a farm-to-table dinner featuring our outdoor pizza oven, sleep in a yurt with a skylight to the stars, and wake up to a blueberry breakfast. MORE…

The Better Selves Fellowship – Session II

Time: Week-long residential retreat

Our own fellowship program offers activists and citizen leaders from the fields of conservation, community well being and social justice the opportunity for reflection, focus and renewal. MORE

Blueberry Sundays

Date: August 4, 11, 18, 2019
Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Cost: Only the berries you pick

On Sundays in peak berry season, we serve up warm cinnamon buns from our outdoor bread oven, free to anyone who comes to pick berries in our one-acre orchard. Come and check out our farm, our bread oven.

Benefit Concert – Anne and Pete Sibley

Writers Retreat

Date: September 20-22, 2019
Time: 4PM Friday – 2PM Sunday

This is an intensive retreat for writers to carve out time to dive deeply into their writing and to have coaching with a seasoned editor. This full weekend will offer a combination of guided prompts and solo writing time, story sessions, and meeting one-on-one with the instructor. MORE…

Spoons for All – Full Moon Spoon Carving Workshop

Date: May 18-19, 2019
Time: 1 or 2 day workshop with optional overnight

For more than 15 years, and with more than 2,000 people, we’ve taught spoon carving on this farm as a method for bringing different people together and for accessing those individuals’ creativity.  Spoon carving, for us, has always been an important act of community building. Please join us on this full moon weekend for a creative time of using your hands and minds to carve a spoon from green wood.  All skill levels are welcome. MORE…

Attracting Wild Pollinators – a walk in the orchard

For the fifth year, Knoll Farm will be part of ongoing research on wild pollinators led by the Gund Institute at UVM. While most of the attention on the media has been on the plight of honey bees, scientists are uncovering a less visible, but much more serious story: the same pesticides that are killing honeybees are contributing to the major spike in decline of wild pollinators. Come for a free walk and conversation about what we have learned as farmers and what you can do as landowners to protect these insects that are so vital to our food supply and health of our ecosystems.

Ann Day’s Birthday Picnic

Date: July 10
Time: 10:00-2:00 pm

Ann Day, who is the poet-matriarch of our farm and the reason we are here, is turning 90! We invite friends of Ann Day to bring your own picnic and  join us on the farm for to celebrate Ann’s birthday. We will supply watermelon, cookies, lemonade and good Knoll Farm water.

By joining our community, you become part of the story of this land.
